Kirsta’s Cheese Snappers with Cherry Pepper Jelly

Ingredients:
1 ¼ c. all-purpose flour
½ c. butter/margarine
2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 9-oz jar The Cherry Stop Pepper Jam
Instructions:
- In a microwave, melt butter/margarine.
- Mix flour into butter.
- Thoroughly mix in cheese.
- Mold dough into 1” balls & press each into a cup/section of a mini-muffin tin; use your thumb to form a cup shape.
- Bake 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown, at 400.
- Remove from oven.
- Remove from pan using spatula.
- Cool completely.
- Place ½ t. The Cherry Stop Pepper Jam into the center of each cheese snapper.
Makes 3-4 dozen.
One of Gail and Bob's daughters, Kirsta came up with these snappers at only nine years old! (Gail and Bob were the original owners and founders of The Cherry Stop.)
These are easy and great for parties, game day snacks, or even an after-school snack.
